How do I talk to my children about prayer without making it a fight?
Children copy what they see more than what they are told. If salah is a regular, unhurried part of the home — a mat unrolled, a quiet pause, a parent who stands up without a speech — prayer feels like belonging, not a punishment.
Invite rather than corner. Offer to pray together, notice small efforts, and keep correction brief. When a child resists, step back from the argument and return later with warmth. The goal is a lifelong companion in salah, not a win in today’s quarrel.
